How to clear Media Storage app data programmatically?

I want to back up all the data on my pc; what removable storage or media is best?

  • The best option I've found so far is DVD+or-RWs that can hold up to about 9.4 GB per disk(dual-sided). Is there any flash drive or other storage device that would be good for holding a lot of data? Specifically, my pc has about 34.5 GB of data on it. Any device that would be best for that amount? Any help is good!

    DVD+/-RW is the best option these days.works out to be the cheapest and best option around for the timebeing.until blu-ray technology becomes avlble/affordable to the masses.

Well your most economical solution would be a DVD-based backup solution. Your second most economical solution, though not necessarily the most practical ... You could get a series of high-capacity thumb drives and use that as your media. You could also buy a standard 3.5 HDD or a 2.5 slim factor HDD and convert it into an external HDD with USB interface. You can find the enclosures for this at Fry's. Not the cheapest, but very practical.

you have a couple of choices here, you could either buy an external HDD, or if you have another desktop you could do what i do. Using a cat 5 crossover cable around AU$10 and plug that into your ethernet port on both computers, that way when you have loaded you new OS you can choose what you want to reinstall.

Hey dear, Buy 1 more hard drive and create back-up thats the most safest way to protect your data. CDR- is not a good option.. Thanks
