How do I update drivers on my Laptop?

  • Well, I was testing to see if I could play Grand Theft Auto IV on systemrequirementslab.com, and it says I need to update my Sound Card, BIOS Drivers, Windows Drivers, and Video Drivers. And I dont know how to. I have a Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5104 if that helps. If I update those does it make the game play better? If it does, it might be why my GTA San Andreas had been having small lag/freeze spikes.

    I think it may be telling you that you can't run the games. You will get all the latest drivers from the manufacturers website of your laptop. Just google; EG - Sony support, Acer support, HP support > download and install all the latest diver releases for your laptop and operating system. To run all the modern games today you need intel i5, preferably second gen 2.4 GHZ up to 2.9 or 3.0 GHZ boost(Or AMD equivalent), and a graphic card > Nvidia 9600M-GT or AMD Radeon HD 6470M and above. A few places lower will be ok too. I would go no lower than NVIDIA GeForce 410M. If it told you to update your Sound Card, it's a hardware issue. If it said Windows drivers, it shouldn't have also said Video drivers. There's no such thing as BIOS drivers, and the BIOS itself isn't relevant, either. Are you sure you got the real game and not some spamish rip-off? Seriously, it shouldn't be telling you any of that at all, if it doesn't work it should just say you don't meet the system requirements.
