Answer:
Try clearing your cache and all cookies from your browser and then restart your Internet browser. If that doesn't work -- see if you can replicate the error on a different browser (try Firefox, Mozilla, Opera, etc.) If the other browsers work, remove and reinstall your default Internet browser. Still no success? Are you always trying from the same location (e.g. work)? Maybe there's a firewall? Try from a public WiFi location, like a mall or coffee shop. If all of the above STILL don't work, time to call the Support line for your computer -- explain everything you've tried -- perhaps they have a different solution that is more hardware-specific.

Are you using Internet Explorer? If so, please give Firefox http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ a try. Maybe there's a problem with IE. If Firefox worked well, then must likely there's a problem with IE on your laptop. Try cleaning your IE cache: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/using/howto/customizing/clearcache.mspx

If you fail to enter correct user name and and pass word this is what normally happens or you might have probaly forgotten to update your hotmail or else you entered a wrong regional number.

It could be blocked by your firewall. Add msn and hotmail to your trusted zones. You can also try to go to hotmail.com or msn.com and sign into hotmail that way or go to another portal such as http://sympatico.msn.ca/ or http://uk.msn.com/ (MSN Canada or MSN UK)

Is this a new laptop? What kind is it, and what are its specs? Hotmail uses lots of graphics and things, so if you don't have a good processer/RAM/video card combination, you will not be able to access it. The same is true for gmail. Try deleting all cookies by going to tools, internet options, under the general tab, where it says browsing history, click delete. Delete everything, then restart your internet browser. If this does not work, then make sure you have the latest flash player, and try installing internet explorer 7.

I take it you are trying to access it using a web browser, most likely internet explorer ? You can start off by deleted all the cached information (Tools, Internet Options, Delete browsing history, cookies etc). The menu set will vary slightly depending on what version of explorer you are running. You could also try a different browser - maybe Moxilla Firefox. The other option you have would be to configure a client on your machine to access your email - outlook express or something similar, and you may find that this has a nicer feel than using a web browser for email. Good Luck with your problem.
