Right click your speaker button in the bottom right toolbar and open the volume mixer and un mute. Otherwise use the function key on your laptop to enable sound.

There should be a blue "Fn" or function key at the bottom left of your keyboard, you will then want to look for an icon with a blue speaker with a little circle with a slash through it over the speaker icon, you will want to press and hold the fn key, and push down that key and it should un-mute it. or you can find the little speaker icon in your system tray in the bottom right of your screen and you will want to click that and wait until a tiny window pops up. when it does click and drag the scrolling bar up, and make sure any "mute" check boxes are unchecked. It either doesn't work then you probably disabled your sound card by uninstalling the drivers. I won't even give you a walk through for that because it is difficult to explain to a inexperianced computer user, and would take to long to type out, and is unlikely.

Go to settings/control panel/system/device manager and delete the sound device and shut down. Reboot and you should get the message "new device found" see if windows can install it from the windows files. If it is not there you will have to download the driver and install it manually.

Uh oh I did that too on my Toshiba laptop. What I had to do was go to the website of the manufacturer of my computer. E-mail them or chat with someone on their website (these options are free). They will totally help you. Just be patient and don't freak out like I did lol Good luck sweetie
