My Laptop Won't keep the setting for the paging file i allocate?

when i change the size of the my paging file, when i open task manager it says its using more than double eventhough i set it to the value i wanted? why does it do this? vista home 32bit 2gb ram 80gb hdd

Hi Sean, There are few things that you need to ensure: 1. You need to be logged in as an administrator or your ID must have admin privileges. 2. When you enter the values manually, do not forget to press the Set Button. Then press Apply, OK. Many people forget to Set the values. 3.
