Problem with running MSN?

Sony vaio internet browsing problem?

• Hi everyone, i have a brand new sony vaio VPCCW23FX running on MS windows 7 64bits, anyways i can't brows using either internet explorer or google chrome even though i'm connected to the internet i've tried to connect by both wireless and cable but neither work!!!, i've tried "ping www.google.com" and it gave me four replies and send and received = 4, loss = 0 (0% loss). any idea what this could be...i have norton installed but when ever i try to open it, it gives me the little loading MS green circular thing and nothing opens. i wanted to open norton IS to check the firewall setting but i didn't change any setting and the internet explorer was working 2 days ago...any ideas...Also i checked the windows firewall and i've added internet explorer and google chrome to it in the allow list but still nothing when ever i try to go to any page both browsers give me the same message "Internet Explorer cannot display the web page" and google chrome gives me "This web page is not available"....any ideas is this some kind of virus...also when i try to sign in to msn messenger it gives me the troubleshoot and the Key Ports have a yellow triangle next to it and it says this error might be due to proxy or firewall setting... the norton internet security 2010 came preinstalled with the machine but i never used it nor opened it before but i'm guessing that the norton firewall is the problem..any ideas on how to open the norton and disable the firewall (if that's the real problem)!!! thanks in advance... :)
