Why is my laptop screen fading?

Help ==SCREEN laptop (CLEaning help !!!!) FAding !!!spots?

  • I need help with my LCD screen I have a V2311us Compaq presario LAPTOP the SCREEn is 14 inches I have noticed FADING SPOTS i mean like the windows background lets say its blue ( its faded spotty blue) .. and when my background is black and the computer is turned on the screen has some white spots? why is this? how can i protect my screen ? I NEED HELP... my warantee expired so I really really want to take good care of my screen .. what liquids or what should i avoid putting on the screen ? what to use on cleaning the screen and how can i remove those spots if I can ? ==================================== Another question that doesnt deal with computers is how to get rid of marker stains etc.. from my cabbage patch kids... i mean cabbage patch dolls (the famous ones by xavier roberts) what liquid and or formula that you know get rids of of that ?

    I think your monitor needs to be replaced or repaired. The faded spots are burn spots from the monitor being on or are spots where the pixels are dying. It's not something that can be cleaned.
