What is the order of best hands in black jack?

How do I disassemble my 'HP Pavilion DV4000' laptop in order to resolder the power jack?!?

  • My uncle is going to resolder my laptop's power jack for me in order to get it to properly charge/ turn on. We tried opening it up, but we just can't find a way to disassemble it in order to get access to the power jack. Thanks! P.S: if there was a guide with pictures, or a video, that would be great. But if not, descriptive instructions would be lovely. Thx once again

I was trying to look up your system for you to find the service manual. Unfortunately you did not provide enough information on your model number as you will see as you go this this HP website: http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Lookup?h_lang=en&h_cc=us&cc=us&h_page=hpcom%E2%8C%A9=en&h_client=S-A-R163-1&h_pagetype=s-002&h_query=Pavilion+DV4000&submit=Go+%BB If you provide more information I might be able to help you further. When you have the proper model number you might search Youtube for a video. Hope this helps. PS... I hope your uncle has electronics soldering experience, if not, kiss your motherboard goodbye. ______________________________________… Per your email to me: (I responded to your email but it came back undeliverable) Ok... if that is the correct laptop, you will start at page 5-3, ignore 5-38 to 5-49, and continue. It doesn't show the motherboard actually being removed, but that is exactly what needs to happen. You best keep good tract of the screws, 'cause the hardest part is putting it all back together in the proper sequence and not have any screws left over. Now you can understand why you would pay no less than $100 for the job. The part is about $5.00 After taking it apart, replacing the dc jack, putting it back together, and now it doesn't work... you'll wish you had paid someone to do it for you. Good luck... if you decide on not doing it yourself, let me know. Provide the City & State you live in (if you don't live in the US find someone local), and I'll provide you with a quote from my local tech here in southern California. Vincent
