How do you import songs from a laptop to an iPad?

I've got tonnes of songs on my laptop but not on iTunes, how can I get them from my laptop to my iPad? Also same question but with short videos like off YouTube and stuff.

o thats easy just..... 1. put them on itunes 2. pug in ur ipad 3. when it says syncing on ur ipad, DONT TOUCH IT or else it would stop
