Which computer processor is better?

• I'm getting a new laptop, and I see two I really like. But one has an AMD Athlon II X2 processor, and the other has an Intel Core i3 processor. So in terms of everyday computing and schoolwork and whatnot - which processor would be a better choice?

  do you know tomshardware.com.it's the BEST out there for Hardware benchmarks.thousands of products tested.i've seen almost all the benchmarks of the modern processors and it clearly shows that athlon 2 X2 is a little behind from i3 in every benchmark.different benchmarks means different things which a cpu performs.BUT benchmarks are not everything.you should also analyse quality.AND in quality INTEL is MUCH good than amd.in fact,these should not be compared in terms of quality.PLUS,intel runs MUCH cooler i.e.temp.,it's MUCH MORE power efficient to increase battery life as you can see power consumptions on the website of these two brands and many reviews......PLUS AMD becomes cheap very soon.so intel has also the plus of quality WHICH will give YOU better resale value...............so final result:DOn't even look at x2 if you don't mind PRICE diff.INTEL is better in everything..........
