What is the problem with my PSP?

Toshiba A135-S4527 laptop problem!.. and a psp slim and lite v3.71 problem?

help!.. my dad bought me a new laptop which is the model "as describe above".. with windows vista home premium in it. and i have psp slim and lite .. the problem is. as i connect the psp to my laptop. it will find installer cd for my psp"type A" version 3.71.. psp's dont have installer cd's/.. the laptop wont recognize the psp.. whats the prob?? is it the laptop or the psp? is psp capable for windows vista? but.. i bet its the laptop.. because my digicam w/c is vista capable.... is not recognize by the laptop also!.. hmmmmmm.... i hate this toshiba... i like hp!. daammnn! can anyone help me? pretty pls? thnx!

It is WINDOWS VISTA compatibility issue. Should have got Windows XP.
