I accidentally uninstalled my Acer Crystal Eye Webcam?

Acer Aspire 5920 problem with Crystal eye webcam?

  • i recently bought an acer aspire laptop and i have had a lot of problems with it. i have fixed most of them but i recently found that the software and the programs to run the crystal eye webcam that is pre-installed mysteriously vanished from the start menu, i looked in all the files in the computer and it had completely gone so i went onto acer's driver download website and got hold of the software but it doesn't appear to be the same and the webcam is not being registered by other programs. i hardly used the webcam so i don't understand why it has disappeared and i'm not sure what to do about it.. has anyone had a similar problem with the aspire 5920? Can you help me please? p.s. please don't tell me to go to acer technical support as i have already attempted to do this thank you! :-)

  • Answer:

TRY device manager > imaging devices > uninstall it > scan for hardware changes, this will reload the drivers....if you cant find imaging devices then you will have to install the drivers with the cd that came with your laptop, if you havent got a cd, goto your laptops website support tab and search for webcam driver
