What is the best laptop to DJ with?

What are the requirements for being a DJ mixing through a laptop at a party???

  • i know how to mix via a DJ program in my desktop...works great!..however i want to buy a good enought laptop that will do the same....does it have to have a good sound card.....more ram....please give me any thoughts..

    I know where you are coming from. I use "Virtual DJ" on my laptop and spinn at alot of parties. all I do is use a cable that will plug into the headphone jack in my laptop and plug it into eather the amp or whatever you want your sound to come from. You want alot of ram (like at lease 500+) and the sound card bit.... you will have to shop around for one that will work right for you.
