Why won't the lid on my laptop close all the way now?
-
It is an Inspiron 6000. It worked fine before, but now the right side won't go down all the way (the other side does). It hasn't been dropped or anything at all. Please help!

Answer:
Hinge tension is often out of adjustment -- not just Dell, either, seen this commonly on Mac laptops, too. RadTech (link below) has a kit for adjusting the Mac, though I don't know if it works on PC. It depends on the hinge design. You might be able to have the thing adjusted. Be careful not to force it, though; those suckers are fragile.

Look for what's uneven. Check the LCD cover to make sure it has not seperated on that one side.
