Hp laptop screen is fading?
-
Once and a while my laptop screen on my HP Pavilion dv6000 (Yes, its old) fades to barely visible. The battery settings are fine and it has nothing to do with the power saver option. If I press function+F4, sometimes the display will return to normal for a while or remain faded, but then eventually it fades again. When I plug in my external monitor, the monitor does not malfunction but the laptop screen usually still does. Is this possibly a software or hardware issue? The external monitor not having issues leads me to believe it is hardware related... Thanks in advance!

it could be possible that the cold cathode back light is bad. you can search around online for a replacement back light for it and chances are that would fix the problem
