How much is it to install an inside/outside home audio system?

I am trying to install Windows XP Home onto my hard drive. It gives me the error "invalid system disk".

  • I went into MS dos last night a told it to format my hard drive. Today I am trying to do a new install of Windows XP Home and I get the message - "Invalid system disk". What do I do now? I tried to use the recovery disk from my computer to format and recover, but it does not finish. It just stops. Any advice?

Read this link: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/128730 If it were me, I'd take the computer to a service shop and let them make the computer like new, adding in the XP. You can also ask them to make it faster for you.....of course this will cost a little more.

Diane, Get a Dos 6.22 Boot Disk, insert it, and reboot, then at the command prompt, type: fdisk, this will bring up the partition screen to show you what disk information is on the pc. Then you want to select to delete the disk ( go ahead it's safe to do.). Once that's done, redo step above, instead of fdisk, type: format C:, this will format the drive again, then install the OS, if you still receive the error, then your disc is dirty enough, not to read or the optical drive will need cleaning. good luck.. Read this whole page, and print it for reference, it also has a good link for a good boot disk to help out, Michael knows his stuff, and I refer alot of clients to his site for assistance..
