How do I connect multiple monitors on a mac? Is it possible?

How can I set my Mac Mini up with Dual Monitors?

  • Hello, I am about to buy a new Mac Mini. I have two monitors I want to use with the Mac Mini, but they both use VGA input and output. These are not Apple Monitors. What kind of adapters and cables I am going to have to use in order to get them to daisy chain connect in order to successfully have a dual monitor setup with my new Mac Mini? Any advice you have for me will be greatly appreciated, Thanks!

  • Answer:

New Mac Minis come with two video output ports: HDMI, and Mini DisplayPort (aka "Thunderbolt"). You can plug one monitor each into these ports, and each can be adapted to VGA. Here's an example of a Mini DisplayPort to VGA adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882203129 And here's an example of a HDMI to VGA cable: http://www.amazon.com/HDMI-VGA-HD15-Male-Cable/dp/B001OLCHJ6
