How to hook up a sound system?

How do i hook my xbox360 up to my pc sound system?

• I have a soundblaster audigy 2 zs sound card and a 5.1 pc speaker setup. I want to hook my xbox360 up to my pc sound system by digital optical cable. My questions are: 1) do i need a regular toslink cable or a toslink-to-minijack cable? 2) do i hook it up from my xbox360 to my subwoofer, or my xbox360 to my sound card? thanks!

  You can't hook up the xbox 360 to the sound card. The sound card has only output ports not input !!!. You, however, can hook up the xbox 360 to your 5.1 surround sound system, provides that it has the right inputs.
