How can I return a product online?

Product swap. Can I return the identical hard drive I bought online to Walmart with receipt?

  • I bought an external hard drive at Walmart today. I got home and searched online to see if I could find it cheaper and I succeeded. So I ordered it. I want to open the one I have right now because I am impatient. If I do will I be able to return the one I get in the mail to Walmart? They are the same exact product with the same product number. The serial numbers obviously do not match.

    I guess Walmart wouldn't accept it back because basically it is not their product. That is the purpose of serial numbers, even though it is exactly almost the same, it is still not theirs. To be safe and sure, Before opening or using the one you bought from Walmart, try calling them and ask if that maneuver is possible.

If you didn't order it from walmart.com, then no, you can't return it. Even if you tried to return it without your receipt from your other one you couldn't. They have a system that runs serial numbers and it tells them where you bought it and when. You can however return the one that you opened - with or without a receipt. Chances are though, your return period will have expired by the time you get the one in the mail. (15 days)

You can simply return the one you opened (the one you got from wal-mart).
