  • Answer:

NO, that is an FM-1 FUSION processor in the Acer PC. The CPU you are showing is a Socket AM2 Honestly, You will need more info from Acer to decide what you can use. The Motherboard specs are not complete. You need to know what processors that motherboard handles specifically. You can only get that info directly from Acer. This is a list of FM-1 processors from New Egg, BUT if your motherboard isn't designed for a processor specifically, it won't work. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007671%2050001028%20600166683&IsNodeId=1&name=Socket%20FM1 ADD: and no... Fusion processors are NOT soldered to the motherboard. They are Socket FM1... the "Fusion" name comes from the fusion of GPU and CPU on the same chip.

No. The AMD Fusion system yours is, is not socketed. The APU (combiation CPU and GPU chip), is sodered down, so not replaceable at all. If you want to replace your CPU, you need to get system with a socketed CPU.
