Why does the psp not recognize a disc?

Why won't my cd-drives recognize this disc?

• So, I have this disc that has software that needs installing onto my computer. I have used this disc with this computer before, and I'm just recovering from a crash. The disc is not damaged because it works in other systems. I updated my firmware, I've tried everything I can think of. Both drives in this computer fail to recognize it after this formatting and re-installing. They recognize every other cd I put in there, just not this one. Just to give you a little info on my system, it is a HP Pavilion 521c, and the two drives are: Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616F Mitsumi CR-48x9te I am at my wit's end, and have no clue what to do here.

  OK, if you want to open up your case, pull the motherboard battery and wait 1 minute and then put it back into the board. This will clear the CMOS chip (BIOS chip) and then reset it to factory defaults. You should find out how to get into BIOS to make sure you can make any changes necessary. I just think the BIOS needs rebooting and it should then recognize your drives for you.
