Cant start my PC up again, help?
-
Ok, heres the deal. Last night, I was playing Skyrim on my PC. It was the mission to get the jagged crown. I played and played, and suddenly, I heard some kind of a bang, which u normally hear during short circuits or similar. And my PC restarted automatically. After the reboot, I was take to the BSOD(blue screen of death) and was told about some technical problem. I don't what happened there, and I restarted the PC again. Now I don't see a thing on my Monitor. I tried to use both Dvi and VGA cords on both my GPU as well as that which comes with the motherboard. But nothing can be seen. Also, whenever I hit the power button, my PC does start, I can see all the fans moving, but then it shut downs itself in a few seconds. I can't even see whats happening, cuz I cant see a thing on my monitor. Then I tried connecting my monitor to my laptop via VGA, and supprisingly it works like a charm, No issues at all. So i can say that the problem is now in the CPU somewhere, I just don't know where. Can anyone give me pointers on wth has happened? My specs, AMD Phennom II 560 3.3GHz Gskill 8 GB ripjaws Gigabyte 880ga ud3h Nvidia GTX 550ti 1 TB seagate Barraccuda 550 watt PSU Also I was playing Skyrim on ultra settings. Thanks

Check the SMPS of ur CPU, if ur CPU has it. Else there could be overheating problem. If it is that u will have less to worry, but if ur motherboard is dead big deal to worry. I suggest u consult a engineer cause it seems as though there is prob with motherboard.

Haha nice specs similar to mine. But, from what I read I believe your CPU is overheating? As you said it will start up and shut down. If the BIOS does not post, the memory or graphics card could have gotten knocked unseated. So, try a different graphics output and make sure everything is seated tightly. Do you get any beep codes? If so message me. If you don't go get a motherboard beeper, it will help you definitely pin point the problem. In the meantime, try not to run the PC as you could damage the processor (if it is overheating(maybe you have it overclocked?)) or if something is unseated it could fry your motherboard. Be careful! Let me know if you need anything else.
