Running BeyondTV to record TV shows...want PC in standby/hibernate to save power...how to wake for recording?
-
Is there a way to have my PC (running WinXP Pro) enter standby or hibernation after, say, 30 minutes of being "idle" and have it wake up again in time to record TV shows I have scheduled to record with BeyondTV? Up until now, I've been leaving it on most of the time to record these daily shows, but I'd like to save more electricity by having the PC enter standby or hibernation when nothing is going on. Advice? Thanks...

Answer:
mite be tricky, but 1st go to start>control panel>scheduled tasks: from here you'll select the 'running beyondtv' program; not sure waht the tools are for this prog. you may have to enable the ' wake the computer' for this task. not sure xactly where this is ...... also be sure the 'power scheme' has hibernate enabled. got a start for ya maybe.
