Game(s) crashing..error related to AMD Driver popping up?

• hi all i just read through this topic...now i m freaking bad at computers so please be a little easy on me and do help and explain to me what do i do of the following problem... k so till yesterday i was having no troubles and everything was fine and i had no games installed as this is my moms laptop...yesterday i installed Dragon Age 2 just to replay it coz i was bored. so i install the game and its working fine but after a few hours when i restart the game it is running slower then expected and when im at the menu of the game no matter how many hours nothing happens but as soon as i click start to play the game it runs for a few seconds to 2 or 3 mins and then the game crashes with an error msg popping up saying something about some error with some AMD drive...i havent tried running any other game coz then if the trouble increases its not good for me as this is my moms laptop i wanted to try 3Ds Max or any other software but the same problem of "if the trouble increases"... please kindly HELP!...need HELP!...Pretty PLEASE... oh! and by the way i check the graphic settings through right clicking the desktop and find that the directx is mentioned as version 10 but the laptop has a tag that say directx 11...but when i check for graphics on the intel site it says i have directx 11...why is this so??? system information - Computer Manufacturer Hewlett-Packard Model HP Pavilion dv3 Notebook PC Operating System (O/S) Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Operating System Build (O/S) (build 7600), 64-bit Operating System (version) 6.1.7600 System RAM 2.9 GB System Total Storage Size: 763.6 GB Local Disk C: 276.8 GB Used space: 61.3 GB Free Space: 215.5 GB GRAPHICS INFORMATION (intel site) - Graphics Product [1] Intel® HD Graphics Graphics Driver Version not detected 3D Acceleration Yes Hardware Transform & Lighting Support Yes Video Memory 1.2 GB Vertex Shader Support 4.0 Pixel Shader Support 4.0 Microsoft DirectX* Version 11.0 GRAPHICS INFORMATION (right clicking on desktop) - Intel® HD Graphics (Core i3) Driver Version : 8.15.10.2141 Operating System : Windows 7 (6.1.7600) DirectX* Version : 10.0 Physical Memory : 2933 MB Minimum Graphics Memory : 32 MB Maximum Graphics Memory : 1274 MB Graphics Memory in Use : 77 MB Processor : Intel64 Family 6 Model 37 Stepping 5 Processor Speed : 2394 MHz Vendor ID : 8086 Device ID : 0046 Device Revision : 02 *Accelerator Information* Accelerator in Use : Intel(R) HD Graphics Video BIOS : 2017.0 Current Graphics Mode : 1366 by 768 Please HELP! weird... i was just looking through the AMD site and found that this laptop does not have the minimal requirements that are required to run such games or software...but i was running this same game for 3 days and since 2 days the trouble started...how the freaking hell!!??? just happened to come across this - http://sites.amd.com/us/game/technology/Pages/system-requirements.aspx and weird part - for cpu it says core 2 duo is preferred over i3 and thats just the start...it gets weirder... video card - current stats - video RAM: 1.2 GB, Hardware T&L: yes, Pixel Shader Version: 4.0, Vertex Shader version: 4.0 video card - required stats - video RAM: 256MB, Hardware T&L: yes, Pixel Shader Version: 3.0, Vertex Shader Version: 3.0 ammmm!!!..WTF!!! ...SAY WHAAAAAAAT!!!???....so its telling me lower stats are better and more required than the higher ones and core 2 duo is better than i3!!!???

  It is not at all uncommon to get problems and incompatibilities with graphics drivers and new games. For this reason both Nvidia and AMD update their graphic drivers every month and they list the fixes for compatibility with certain games with each release. Your problem is that you cannot download and use updated graphic drivers from Nvidia and AMD as you have a notebook. Laptops and notebook manufacturers use customised drivers for the mobility graphics chips that are fitted inside [whether integrated graphics or a dedicated mobility card] and you can only use graphics drivers from HP's support site. Apart for asking for advice on the relevant games forum [if it has a dedicated forum] Thats all you can really do This is one reason why laptops are not the best choice for gaming. A lot of laptop manufacturers see no need to issue updates for graphics drivers just to fix problems with a certain game [not helpful i know]. But in any case go to HP's support siye and download the latest graphic drivers for you exact make and model to see if it helps.
