How can I restore my Windows XP toolbar?

My pc is windows xp but my son run my vista restore disc on it so now it is running vista how can i restore?

  • it back to windows xp i have no restore disc for windows xp thanx!!!

  • Answer:

you cant,. with the new versions of Windows you cannot downgrade your OP (Operating System). give it a shot, ask anyone who has a spare XP Disk, or Legally Download it but be careful of Viruses and Trojans. but ive heard from my experience that XP - Vista you cant reverse the process. if you do have a spare XP Disk from somewhere or buy one, completely remove all sources from your HDD (Hard Drive) and see if it works. Good luck

If the PC came with in house xp and no disc you will have to either -send it back to the manufacturer via your supplier-or give it to a microsoft engineer who will put you an unlicenced version of XP in,but you will not get updates. This does not matter now as the updates for XP are few if any now,it is as good as it gets. The installations of Windows Seven may even allow downgrading to XP and not Vista,as XP has proved far more popular, this is,i understand, being muted now.Vista looks to be dead in the water as i have found several programs that are compatible with XP and have been made to be compatible with Windows Seven as well ,but not Vista, for some reason.Persnally ,i dont think Vista went far enough to make a change from XP PRO worthwhile,as it is a really cracking program.

The only way is to use a Windows XP install disk. Did your computer not come with any software restore disks? Also, you'll need to back up your data first before installing XP as you will need to erase and install to get XP back (if you have an XP install disk that is) Don't like Vista? Make sure your updates are done. You might like it better than XP anyway. Windows 7 will be out soon too (August?). Thats even better from what I hear!

Get a windows xp installation disk (it s a silvery cd) insert it and install windows xp all over again. i would back up all the data before doing this.
