Can you play call of duty 4 on the pc?

Can i play call of duty 4 at max settings on my pc.?

  • hey im getting a new PC soon. and ive been looking at new games. ive been looking at call of duty 4. it looks really good. and ive played it for like 10 mins. and im gonna go buy it. i just wanna know if i can max it at 1024x768 resolution. with AA and the other stuff. (i dont have the PC so dont reccomand that systems requirements lab, the can you run it thing) specs are CPU: Q6600 2.4GHZ RAM: 4 GIG 800MHZ RAM VIDEO CARD: SAPPHIRE ATI RADEON HD 3870 512MB MOBO: GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3P HDD: (NOT SURE) BUT ITS 500GB SPACE OS: WINDOWS VISTA ULTIMATE 64 BIT (its 64 bit so i can use all the ram) so please tell me. also i have been reading similar pc's playing this at max and one person got like normal 30 FPS. and i was wondering if 30 FPS is good?

Yes, probably, I can play max setting with an overclocked E6600, 4GB and a 8800GTS 320 But just to let you know, 1024x768 isn't the max res I play it on 1650x1080 @M. C, the RADEON HD 3870 512 is much better than the 8600GTS

no, the video card isnt good enough. the lowest card you can use to run it at full graphics without problem is the GeForce 8600 GTS card. around £140

Everything is great. I have the exact same graphic card and ram and it runs call of duty 4 fine on highest graphics. And it's far better than the 8600GTS. I runed it on 1024X768 with X4AA turned on.

You could max it out at that resolution. I could almost max it out at that resolution with my PC: AMD Athlon 64 X2 3600 1.9GHz 2 GB DDR2 667MHz 256mb Geforce 7600GT I'm not sure what framerate you'd get, but it should be pretty good. yep. cod4 will run blazingly fast. 30 fps is normal and playable framerate.

Yeah it will run fine, just be wary that vista 64x can make your pc a lot slower in games, i am speaking from experience i used to run vista 64x with an e6600, HD3870x2, 4Gb 800MHz RAM and the performance wasnt great so i moved to windows XP 64x and my framerates improved by about 30FPS on most games, so just keep that in mind when choosing you operating system. otherwise yeah that rig will work a treat. with your system i think you would get about 40-60fps with vista and about 90-100 with XP 64x
