How To Get Product Code Sygic Android?

Why are people against apple computer?

  • I'm thinking about buying an iMac but there are so many people who I know who absolutely hate Apple brand products (even though they themselves own some of them) and are ready to cut ties with me if I even walk into an Apple store. They tell me to stay with Windows as it's just as dependable (it's not) if I do only one thing with it. Or linux which would take much longer than I want to get working the way I want and some of the programmes I use won't even run on it. I don't understand what the angst over Apple product and supposedly supporting Steve Jobs is so bad. They use analogies like having the "hood" on my car welded shut, and that Apple has sued their customers for infringements for tempering with the software. I own an android phone which is open source code, and open source is not all it's played up to be. Most of the applications for it don't work well or at all, at least Apple threatens to pull stuff off the market (online store) if what someone makes doesn't work. If companies like microsoft made automobiles that were as dependable as their software, no one would buy them. I want something that works and the brand or logo on the side of the tool is not a real concern for me.

The problem people have with Macs is that Apple spent the first half of their existence acting like they are "sticking it to the man" and being more hippy-ish with their business practices. Basically acting holier-than-thou when it came to Microsoft's business model. Then, they turned into this money grubbing empire that is worse than MS on so many levels. The Iphone 3g had the capability to record video, but they disabled the functionality so they could charge for it later on different models. They charge for software upgrades to programs that you already purchased. They do not allow people to develop their own software and hardware unless they pay an exorbitant fee for it to be "approved" by Apple labs. Let's say you spent a lot of time developing an App for the iPhone, if that App even remotely resembles something they are intending to release in the future, they will block you from being able to sell it to Apple customers. There is a lot that irks people about Apple, but the major issue is Price. You can get a PC that is as fast, or faster for anywhere from 40-70% of the cost of a Mac. Once the warranty runs out, the parts are anywhere from 5-20 times the price of a similar PC component because of their monopolistic policies. Now, a PC is as stable as a Mac if you do a little maintenance. Keeping software updated, keeping drivers updated and scanning for viruses does not require a lot of work on your part, but it will keep a PC running as stable as a Mac. Macs are fine machines, but they come at a cost.

I'm not. Personally I think they look somewhat unique to me. If it's not because of the price I would get a mac too. I don't want to compare mac and windows(pc's) because they are different operating system. For me, it is just personal preferences.

Well for one Apple computers cost double to price of a windows brand computer that you could buy (this is very true with laptops and even desktop) Two Apples aren't very upgradable unlike most windows desktops Some software is not compatible with Apple And four it is a lie that Apple's cannot get infected. So for those reason I will still with the price friendly windows computer. I bought a sony laptop that has 4GB of ram, a great processor 500GB hard drive and dedicated graphic card for under $700 dollards. If I bought a computer like that from Apple it would cost over $1000. Get my point.

I have a new iMac with snow leopard (the latest Apple OS), and I just switched from a Windows. First of all, Macs have a much easier to use interface, and if you get iLife and iWork, you can get versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, etc, that in my opinion are much better and easier to use, i.e, the Apple version of excel is extremely easy to use, and if you don't understand any of the Apple software, there's videos that will start up with the thing and show you how do it. It's also easier to configure everything, just go to the Apple (start button, i guess), system preferences, then you can configure anything in your computer from there. and if you don't like the Apple versions for software, you can get Microsoft Office. Additional details: You DON'T have to pay for software updates as Bjorn said, and it's true that you can get a virus on a Mac, but that's a 1 in a billion chance, and you don't have to constantly pay for monthly subscriptions to companies like McAfee and SpyBot

I've had a mac computer and it works fine. It functions well and I prefer it over the Dells that I've used (except for the fact that I can't play certain games on it although I think they are making more games that work on macs). I would say go for whatever you're most comfortable buying. The main difference between Windows and Macs are that Windows are made by parts made by different companies while Macs are made by a single manufacturer. This is why Macs typically run better and are more pricey. As for customers being sued, well that shouldn't be an issue if you don't hack their software. I think that would be a bigger issue with their phones. In that case it is the customer's fault anyway because it's breaching the contract. P.S. I don't really know how the upgrades for Dells work but on apples you just get an update window that like "hey you can upgrade your software right now." It seems pretty easy to keep up to date. Edit: Also I think that it takes a while to set up Dells (like with the software). Again this is this is what I think. I've never set up a Dell. But with macs, they are already programmed with their typical software and can easily be used right after purchase.

It's overpriced, and Windows *IS* just as reliable, if you know what you're doing. The only reason to get a Mac is for graphic design work. Anything else, and it's best to do it on a PC.

Meh, Internets

Apples are good when it comes to school or editing where as PC's are great for downloading software and just everyday use. Each have advantages and disadvantages over the other
