Graphics card upgrade for Dell Dimension XPS Generation 2?

Yeah, my brother recently passed down a computer to me that was his because he got a new one, and It is really screwed up with a lot of viruses, so I will probably redisc the entire thing. But, I want to upgrade my graphics card for it because this graphics card is pretty messed up (shows red grains on the screen when I play TF2) and I would just like an upgrade. Here are the stats I can give, because My computer won't open. (shows the flashlight looking round) Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) ) 4 CPU 3.20GHz Graphics Card: Radeon 9800XT and... thats all I can really get. So, what is the best graphics card that I can get, and also, is it possible to also uprgrade my processor?

Well your ATI 9800XT was a very nice GPU in it's day and it would still run DX 9 games nicely. Have you checked the cooler on the card? The fan may need cleaning/blowing out. Anyway it's an agp 8x gpu card. You would be good to upgrade your DDR memory to 2gb if possible which will really help performance. Also upgrade the drivers for your GPU.
