Why is the maximum memory usage 512?

2 gig of ram and computer keeps blue screen memory?

  • dumping me? built new computer got same two sticks of ram in it however the computer keeps blue screening me , reseting and memory dumping on me! i opened task manger and watched the cpu uaage when using stuff and it shoots up to 100% all time not constantley thou , and my pf usage never moves, it driving me mad any ideas, will give more details if i get a reply Additional Details 2 minutes ago thanks everyone, asrock m/b dont know what model but its new, amd 64 processor athlon3800+, 512 nvidia card, 2 gig ddr4 ram. no viruses formatted it and it did it offline,blue screen only comes on for a fraction of a second and is random times so cant always see it, but have seen memory dump on there b4. although i got 2 gig ram i dont thgink the cpu is using it its saying its in there in the system

    This sounds like you might have a bad stick of memory. I would try running a RAM check to see what could be wrong. I have provided a link below to Microsoft's Online Crash Analysis. It's a free program that should be able to tell you what the issue with the memory is.

its most likely your RAM, i've seen a lot of gig sticks that have been faulty. Its either that or you need to fix its timings in the BIOS, dont see how that could affect it but you never know. FYI, ddr4 hasnt been launched yet, only gddr4 has
