Is it possible to have 2 sound cards hooked up to one computer running the same audio output?
-
i have 2 stereo surround sound sets (both 5.1) and i was wondering if there was a way i could hook both up to one computer. i have 2 soundcards (neither integrated) that both support 5.1 stereo surround sound systems. so, is it possible to have 2 sound cards hooked up to one computer BOTH sending out the same audio signals to BOTH stereo surround sound sets. (1 sound card, 1 set. same for the other) both are pci. ty :)

Answer:
depends on the program. Mediamonkey could do that as it it puts out audio with a special "Mediamonkey direct sound" out put.

Not sure if that's been done before so just try it and see. Personally I'm doubtful.
