Should i give I-con my address?

I'm getting desktop Icon problems?

• When I put in the address for the site I want to make a shortcut to and successfully make the shortcut, I click on the icon and it tells me to select a program from a list. I select the program and check off the box that is supposed to make that program the program that it will open up to all the time, but when I click on the icon the next time, it asks me to select a program from a list. This is so weird! Could someone give me some advice?

  >Right click on the icon and go to properties and make sure that the TARGET box is filled in with the path to the file you wish to execute. Most likely, you do not have the path in the target box of the icon, so it keeps asking you for a path to follow to execute the file or program.
