My computer won't turn on?

My computer wont turn on.?

  • My computer's charger has been broken for more than a week, so it's been dead for that long. I found a cord that will charge it..Because the charging light goes on. But, The computer wont turn on. I had it charging for a half hour and still wont turn on, why wont it turn on?

sounds like something else is broken aswell.

Probably has a different voltage than the original. It will have enough voltage to turn the light on but if it doesnt have more voltage than the output of your battery, then it wont charge. If you haven't already damaged the computer, you will need a charger specifically for your laptop. Different models have different voltage requirements and using the wrong charger can damage your computer severely.

Just because the charging light comes on doesn't mean that you are actually charging the battery or sending an electrical current strong enough to power the computer. You need to check to make sure you have a compatible adapter or else you will damage your battery, and maybe the computer as well.

Probaly a circuit that inside the battery, or connects to the battery. And Also a wire that is inside the charger might be broken.

Probably because the charger wasn't the right charger and even though your computer told you it was charging, you probably broke a pin of some sort inside the computer.
