Question for Mac Users // Does Reset Safari remove EVERYTHING?
-
Is there anyway that anyone can view any webpage I have visted after I "Reset Safari"? When I say anyone, that includes those savy Mac geniuses at the Apple store.
-
Answer:
Deleting the history and emptying the cache should keep even the Apple Genius' from seeing what naughty things you've been up to. A determined effort using various restoration applications could still find those nasty old websites though. If you're uber-paranoid, back up your important stuff, boot from the installation disk, wipe the hard drive and reinitialize it, and reinstall everything. Then use something like TechTool Pro to wipe the empty spaces on your hard drive by over writing them several times.
