There is a broken wire in the signal cable .If your cable has sockets on both ends just replace the cable only.If the other end is soldered to the monitor board , try to trace and solder. The break usually happens inside the cable socket.

dont bother soldering, and its not your video card, and dont waste the time or money taking it to a repair shop. buy a new one that has a warrenty so if you have a problem you can get it fixed for nothing. and what i do is buy a monitor and when the warrenty runs out sell it on ebay. see what that monitor is worth with its age and start the bid at that price. then buy another one this way your monitors are always under warrenty and you never have to worry about anything. that works great for me. i also do this with any other equipment. i basically buy and build a new pc every year for just a couple hundred bucks. all because i sell all my old stuff.

replace it. if it is within warranty RMA returned merchandise authorization

your screen is busy to collapse. You should take it to service provider and they can advise you. Mine had probs also, and a few dollars further it is as good as new ! Good luck.

Your monitor or your video card could be going on the fritz. If you hit the monitor and the color changes, it's the monitor. BTW, make sure your monitor cables are good and snug.

There's a dry joint in the monitor.Locate by gently tapping the circuit boards and then resolder it

Sometimes its magnetic and that means if you have anything electronic leaning on or balancing on ur monitor it could potential cause a pinkish hew

Is it a CRT monitor? Those things are likely to happen. If you have an flat screen than the gases or liquid in it is going bad. Most likely upgrade from a CRT to an LCD.
