Which is a better and faster computer processor?

Which processor is better to buy? Intel or AMD? I'm buying a computer right now and am confused! Please help!

    The processor type is usually immaterial. The speed of these computers is insane compared to the applications required to use them. With the exception of extreme gaming or 3d rendering of images, you should be pretty OK with either one. Try to use a coupon at dell. They have weekly coupons and can decrease the price considerably. Both are great proccessors!! AMD- Great proccessor came out after intel and was supposly a 2nd hand proccessor but they have greatly come out all most matching intell, but intell always seems to have one jump on AMD Intel- Great CPU, they have the best CPU on the market right now. Now that Core 2 Duo is out AMD and Intel are pretty much even if it wouldnt be for the Core 2 Duo Extreme this proccessor is a basic Quad Core, however true Quad Cores wil lbe out soon. When coming to OC i would go with a Core 2 Duo. Also if you want a good computer i will build you a grea tone one much better then you can get from Dell.
