  • The Specs are: * Intel® Core™ 2 Quad Q8200 Quad Core Processor(2.33GHz,4MB Cache,1333MHz) * Genuine Windows Vista™ Home Premium with Service Pack 1, 64-bit - English * 550W PSU + CardReader * ASUS P5QL Pro Mainboard - Intel Core™ 2 Duo/ Quad/ Extreme - ATX * 4GB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM - (2x 2GB) * 500GB Serial ATA Hard Drive with 16MB Buffer * Samsung 22x Dual Layer DVD Writer Super Format +R/-R/RW/RAM * 1GB ATI HD4670 Graphics accelerator - DVI, DirectX 10.1 PCI Express 2 * 52-in-1 Multi-format Memory Card Reader (matx) * 7.1 High Definition onboard sound card - for 8 Channel Cinema sound I will be using it for mostly surfing the internet but I would like to play games on the PC again. I am quite competent when it comes to PCs but not very technical. I would be playing games like Empire: Total war, Civilization IV, Sims 3 etc.

    Looking at the games you play, this PC should suit your needs. However the more demanding and fast paced games shooter games like Call of Duty, Left 4 Dead etc. would probably require you to upgrade your video card.

Since you're only using it to play Strategy-like games, you should be fine, your computer might have problems for games like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Vegas.

when it comes to running games.... u just need a few things (in order from most important to least) 1) kick *** video card 2) good CPU 3) lots of RAM what YOU have is plenty. btw, the card u have is a little outdated and they have the 4890 by Saphire pretty cheap right now. around 200 on newegg.com. anyway, w/ what you got, you'll be fine. for sure

You would most definitely be able to play ANY game on that basically, but I would suggest getting Windows XP (pro or media center 2005) and installing a transformation pack, or something like that.
