Can someone send me a link for a RAM upgrade?

Can someone find me a link for the exact memory upgrade I would need for this HP Pavillion computer?

  • I'm looking for a 256MB upgrade chip for a Hp pavillion 500 (desktop) System number P6322A 256 now-1 slot open I want to send someone a link with the correct ordering information but I can't seem to find exactly what I need. I'm trying to match up the System number, but can't seem to find an exact match. I don't want to screw this up. :) Any memory experts out there?

    Boot your machine, and hit f12 (depending on BIOS) to enter BIOS, In there go to the system tab or memory tab and it will display the type and speed of memory you have. If you have 2 banks on your motherboard only, you should probably just get another 256m, alot of companies build there mobo's crappy where it cant be something like 256, 512 or 128, 1 gig- that sort of thing.. Plus you can run dual channel if your motherboard supports it :)

Try this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/category/memory_config.asp?ClsId=100&MfrId=43&MdlId=43521 The Memory Configuration tool at TigerDirect had several Pavillion 500(a,d, etc) so I went with the A from the system number. Looks like all of the models that come standard with 256 MB in one slot use a 168 PIN PC100 DIMM Module.

the new ram available in market is not competable with ur older one u have to replace it bec. older rams are 100mhz and new ones are 133mhz. so if u ned 256 or 512 u can ask that person to send u (SDR RAM) of quantitu u need
