What is wrong with the internet(or my computer?

What is wrong with my computer.?

• l am really hoping some computer whizz can help me here. l turn on my computer and l see a black screen with writing saying to insert reboot disks.l did that initially and lost everything on my computer,as it was like starting scratch with a new computer.l called out a computer tech.He replaces the hard drive.Everything went ok for about 6 weeks now l am having the same problem again. l called the comp.tech again and he said more than likely it is the mother board.l have not turned off my computer sinceHe was last out(7 weeks ago)This morning because of a power blackout,,no power,my comp.shut down.After the power came back on,it took me 5 times to actually get my comp.to fire up.l kept getting that same screen asking me to put in my back up disks.ln your opinion,what do you think is wrong with my computer.Do l need a new motherboard?l find this really annoying.lf it is the motherboard why did the tech.not pick it up in the first place.l am a middle age so l am not comp.literateThanks.

  More than likely it is the motherboard but he was correct in changing the harddrive first because it could be either and most common thing for them symptoms would of been the HDD but it was just bad luck and you had a faulty motherboard.
