Where to buy jackpot slots?

Can you buy slots for motherboard where you would add RAM? (photos included)?

  • Okay what i mean is when you add RAM to a computer you have the slots where you would place it. but then if you run out of slots can you buy more and add them?     No. The board will have the maximum number of slots fitted that it can support. which is why they do not fit any more. There is a limit to the number of slots a board can support and to the amount of RAM it can take. in any case yo would need to be an expert repair man to fit any as they need to be double sided soldered.

No, you can't add those missing slots as there'll be other vital components missing from the motherboard. This is the sort of dirty trick that manufacturers of cheap equipment do to save a few pennies. Dell are particularly bad for this sort of behaviour, they'll use batches of boards with no graphics card slot which makes upgrading pointless. If you want to get around this problem you'll need a new motherboard.
