How do I remove past items icons from taskbar list? OP- Windows XP Home.?

Accessed by Start Menu-Settings-Taskbar and Start Menu-Customize-Current Items, Past Items.

Answer:
When you highlight it from the start-menu list, right click on it and select delete. You will only be deleting the shortcut from the start menu items, it will not delete the application.
