Problem in installing FIFA 10 for PC.

My PC restarts during power failure despite of UPS?

• I have a PC (6 months old) which restarts during power failure in spite of having a UPS. The UPS that I am using is APC 1000 VA (BR-1000 IN). It worked fine for six months but the problem did start when I added Geforce GT 240 graphic card. Whenever the power goes the system restarts and will then run fine on the battery. I use Zebronics 450 Watt SMPS. I even replaced it with Intex 450 W thinking that SMPS might be the culprit. However the problem remained unchanged even after changing the SMPS. APC service engineers also tried with another unit of 1000 VA ups but no change. Another strange thing is that this restart will not happen all the time. For ex. Out of 10 power failures, this will happen 5-6 times. Not 10/10. I even tried switching off the mains and test the UPS. The PC restarts sometimes but will not on some occasions. I am really confused with this strange issue. I had never faced this problem from past six months with the same UPS and PC. But just after installing the graphic card (Geforce GT 240) this problem started. Please help!

  The problem is with your UPS.Its take over time is not sufficient.Generally, UPS will backup with in fraction of seconds when power fails.Other wise PC will restarts.Also adding more devices to PC will also increase the load 1.Unplug all the peripherals such as printer,speaker etc from the PC and connect only the pc to UPS.Then try 2.If the problem persists, unplug monitor, then try 3. If the problem is continuing, then it is with the UPS. It is unable the handle the load.In the UPS circuit, there is an over load protection circuit.This will prevent backup if the load is excess. 4. Another thing is the capacity of the battery.If the battery is not holding sufficient charge, UPS will not work properly.Also check the power connections from the SMPS intact or not 5.Another problem is due to unwanted programmes like a Virus.Remove all the programmes which are not using ,from C. Transfer all the folders from desktop and C to D and E.Disable messenger,virus protection programmes.Then try again 6. If you are using WindowsXP , go to control panel, select performance and maintenance,select Freeup space on your hard disc. Select the drives and clean it.This will increase the space in the hard disc by removing unnecessary things. Clean the hard drive once in a weak 7.If the problem still persists, try with another UPS from your friend or Format the computer I also had the same problem but not due to UPS.When I formatted the PC, the problem disappeared.
