  • Answer:

It sounds like a "read error" on your CD. This could be caused by a defective CD (very unlikely), a defective burn to the CD, or a defective CD burner. Try burning another CD. Most burning programs have a "verification" mode that verifies the written data after burning it, so make sure this is enabled. BTW, how did you burn the first cd if you "dont have operating system in my pc"? Yes, DOS is an OS, but so is XP. If a CD doesn't work well, perhaps you can try a boot floppy (getting rare as hen's teeth) or a bootable flash drive. I can only hope that at this point you haven't been left with a half-written BIOS. I suspect you're still okay though, because if your BIOS was trashed, you probably wouldn't be able to boot from any device at all. BTW, why do you need a BIOS update at all? A good rule of thumb is to ONLY update a BIOS if it fixes something specific that is causing you problems.
