Answer:
I think it's "average". The Windows Experience index would probably rate that a 2.7, out of 5 at best. It won't handle the latest games, and you can't hook it up to a HDTV at full HD resolutions, for example. If you want to play games, you should get a video card along the sub $200 category, like the Geforce 9500 GT or 9600 GT. Don't get any faster ones than this because you are going to be bottlenecked by your CPU. Dont' forget the extra 1 gig of RAM (costs $25 dollars for 1 gig of DDR2 800mhz RAM).

You will need update your RAM or make sure that the graphics card you buy has a lot of dedicated memory.

If you're using Vista then the minimum RAM should be 2GB for the PC, if you want to play video games, especially the latest ones then the minimum you need is a 256MB one, either ATI or NVidea. A 512MB one would be highly recommended.

It will be after these suggestions. Optimizing ones pc is always a good thing, but keep in mind when you start purchasing parts, try to future-proof it so the parts bought can be used again when deciding on a next build. So i means you wouldn't have to buy that part again when you decide to build a new system First, yes get a graphics card. Prefereably PCIe 2.0 with a minimum 512MB. most future games eventually will require a lot of memory, so the amount on the card is important. You'll notice people having cards with 1GB, 2GB in them. Well, that should give you an impression of what's considered a pc that's good. Anyway, for the memory, determine what type/speed currently installed and max it out to about 4GB. Depending on the amount your motherboard supports, so if not 4GB, then get 2GB. Well there it is. Hope this helped.

On-board video is never any good for a gamer. Best bang-per-buck at the moment is the ATI Radeon HD4850, check that your motherboard has a PCI-Express slot first before purchasing. This is about £120 from most decent online suppliers like Ebuyer/Aria/Dabs. It should also get faster as you upgrade your PC in the future, like your RAM or CPU. That videocard will give your gaming experience a MASSIVE boost!
