if it's aoe III it may be a graphical issue. Try downloading the latest patch as well (the autopatcher is good for that)

Giant Taco that craps Ice-cream

This could be due to many issues. It could be due to a problem with the installed drivers. It could be caused by faulty hardware, in which case you need to return the PC to the system builder to exchange the damaged part. Or it could be due to overheating, if the heatsink isn't installed properly on the CPU or if there's bad ventilation in the case. It's hard to tell the exact reason for this problem without further details but as a simple solution you could try putting the case in a better ventilated environment, or perhaps opening the side panel altogether. Hope this helps....

While playing the game your computer restarts that means simply that the operating system you are using does not have the drivers for that. to play games first of all install a fresh upgraded version of windows. the windows 98 operating system has capability of playing majority of games but the new games in market can be played on windows xp or vista. there may be a case that some system files has been removed accidentally so in my opinion please install a fresh windows and then play the game.

First of all check from the jewel case to see if his computer meets all the required minimal specification to play the game. If his computer meets all the required specifications then try this. 1. Download and install the latest version of directX 2. make sure the screen saver is disabled before playing the game 3. Make sure that needless programs are not running in the background . 4. Update your son's video card by going to the manufacturer of the video card and download/install the latest driver for the card. Only the manufacturer can supply a driver that will make the video card use all it's capacities, unless they say different. 5. Update windows from Microsoft update site. 6.. Check the games web sites for available patches that may fix the problem because sometimes it's not the computer that is at fault but the software itself. Software makers will make patches available not long after they release a game to fix bugs in the application.
