My fax will send will not receive. If computer is on, my phone calls revert to incoming fax?
-
and then I get msg that fax could not be received due to error. Never says what the error is so I don't know what to try to correct. I'm running Windowsxp OS on Dell Dimension 2400 with a printer scanner fax Dell 944. Its a cordless AT&T phone. A Dell tech checked it and then outgoing fax worked. What to try before calling him again?

Answer:
Let me guess, you're using the same line for dialup internet access and incoming fax, right? Disconnect your modem and see if that helps. If the modem has the line off hook it won't recieve fax at all. Or get broadband for the computer and let the tech who sets it all up fix the fax. That would be my ideal suggestion.
