  • Does anyone know how to make a portable USB stick into RAM where you can use it for your computer for Window Vista ?? Because I remember someone I don't remember who but someone used a portable USB stick as an External RAM but I remember it only work for Window Vista, so Can ANYONE help me out here ? PLEASE AND THANK YOU !

  • Answer:

You are refering to what is called "Ready-Boost". First the USB stick must be Vista compatible. Most are not. Insert the device, go to "Computer", right-click on the device then click Properties. If the stick is compatible, you will see a tab, "Ready-Boost", just click that tab and configure. Don,t even bother unless your USB stick is at least half the size of your actual RAM ( In MB). Good luck.

When you insert the USB drive, it will ask you if you want to use Windows ReadyBoost. It must have a 1:1 ratio though.
