IMovie help?

Installing imovie HD help!?!?

ok so i am TRYING to install imovie HD but wen it says destination select i click on my Macintosh HD thing and is says this... "You cannot install iMovie HD Update on this volume. This update requires iMovie HD version 6.0.2." help? how do i install imovie HD? thanks a ton

I presume that you are trying the Apple downloads site. That is not the full version of iMovie HD only an update if you already have iMovie HD on your computer. Apple removed the downloads of iMovie Hd when it released iLife 09 at the beginning of the year. The only way to get it now is one of these methods: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZAHpPvivzA or download the disc image from this site: http://homepage.mac.com/WebObjects/FileSharing.woa/wa/default?user=toad.hall&templatefn=FileSharing7.html&xmlfn=TKDocument.7.xml&sitefn=RootSite.xml&aff=consumer&cty=US&lang=en or find an iLife 06 disc. Note that the two versions are not compatible or interchangeable. You either use one or the other. Regards, Zyfert
