How do you get Bluetooth on your computer?

Does anyone know how to find bluetooth on a Windows XP computer? If there is none how do you get it?

  • If anyone knows the answer to this question I would appreciate it if there is a step by step instruction on how to find out where the bluetooth on a Windows XP is or if there is no bluetooth on the computer how one would be able to get it. Thank you!

    If there's no bluetooth you can't find it. In device manager you will see a bluetooth device listed if there is one and properly installed. You can add it with a card if needed.

there is no bluetooth on windows Xp, you have to buy a Bluetooth dongle or USB adaptor, the software will come with it for you to access things.

you need a bluetooth adapter/dongle - you can easily get one at your nearest computer hardware shop - just plug it in to your usb port after and install what ever software thats needed(usually goes w/ the device)

Go to control panel, click on computer, then click on your local drive, then look under the hardware and device manager section. I believe you would have to buy one that is compatible with your computer. You can find out how to get one from the website of the manufacturer of your computer. Most websites have a free help and support section. They also list accessories compatible with your particular computer.

A bluetooth device will self install drivers on a WIN XP SP2 machine. If you can't find it, you don't have bluetooth hardware. If this is a laptop your working with, you'll need to purchase a bluetooth PCMCIA card. Should run about $50 more or less. Astrobuf
