How to stream videos from PC to PS3?

How do I stream media to my PS3 from an external hard drive hooked to my PC?

  • Hello. I have a very frustrating question and searched the web's core to find a solution but no luck. I recently purchased a 1TB hard drive and hooked it to my PC. I would like to transfer my media to it, and stream it wirelessly to my PS3. I already am streaming movies and music to PS3 fine, but it can't seem to find my external HDD. I don't want to hook it to my PS3 directly because it would just be a hassle converting it to FAT32 and unplugging it, replugging, etc. I have seen other people have no problems streaming from their external HDD that's hooked to their PC to their PS3. I have TVersity, it pops up on my PS3, but it can't even find any media located on my PC's internal hard drive. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!
