Good programmable gaming mouse?

How long does a good gaming mouse last?

  • I've been using a cheap gaming mouse and the left click's getting stiff after about 3 months of use. If i spent about $50 and get a mouse from Razer or Logitech will it last longer? Or should I just buy another cheap mouse because i dont want to spend too much money on a mouse that'll also eventually wear out

    Like most everything else in the world, the more you spend the better the quality. Like power supplies in the PC, everyone overlooks the mouse. But along with Power Supplies, the mouse and keyboard should be considered over some of the parts that are bought for a PC. For years I have used cheap mice and have never been happy. But recently I spent $100 on the Cyborg R.A.T. 7 gaming mouse and can't imagine using anything else. A perfect mouse in every respect. However, that mouse might not be for everyone. I highly suggest you walk into a best buy or some place else that have mice on display and test it... The thing I like about the R.A.T. is that it is completely customizable. can adjust the thumb rest up and back as well as near and far from the body. I can adjust the palm rest forward and backward and I can add a pinkie rest. I can also add or remove weight to the base and it has several buttons that can be customized for each game. The DPI of the lasers can be adjusted for sensitivity and it also has a "sniper" button that lowers the DPI to whatever you set it to for as long as you hold the button down. http://cyborggaming.com/prod/rat7.htm

i got a nice mouse made by rocketfish for 40 dollars, not exactly a gaming mouse but it has a few macro buttons, an up/down and side/side scroll wheels and a button that can change the sensitivity to 3 different levels. after 2 years, its still working like new

If your using the gaming mouse for gaming and wish to buy a new one, they should all last a long time, got mine used and is having the same problems. A button is a button and it always depends on how many times you press it, do you press it hard or soft, do you drink and eat while playing and get it all over the mouse?

I've got a Microsoft Sidewinder mouse with the 2 normal buttons and 2 thumb buttons and the scrollwheel & even the feel of the mouse feels like a better build quality so in my opinion gaming mice do last longer because they are built for gaming not just internet browsing get one that feels heavier not too heavy but the yea this is built well weight and it should be good

my Logitech G5 lasted 4.5 years, sooooo worth it, all the other ones i had after that (or tried while i had it) is lagging compeard to that one, but its expensive like **** xD
